This is exactly what has been done. I'm surprised you didn't notice this in apt 0.3.2. Gnome-apt follows this scheme for versions 0.3.1 and greater. You can find the latest gnome-apt in the gnome staging area at http://www.debian.org/~jules/gnome-stage-2 or you can add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://www.debian.org/~jules/gnome-stage-2 unstable main -Mitch -- Any command with less than 48 switches is a Cat in the Hat book. - E.
