Hello Arsen!

This is always a wild question to ask because there are so many
different variables. Here are some things to think about:

1. Paradox is no longer supported by Borland, so I would not recommend
it for future development. On the other hand, it is free and stable for
now.

2. Is your database going to be single user or multi user? Some
databases are better as single user but can be slow for multi-user.
Access is an excellent single user database but a lousy multi user DB
IMO.

3. Your database sounds large but is it deep (a few tables with 1000s
of records) or wide (hundreds of tables with a few hundred records in
each)? Some databases do better than others.

I think the best DB that is free, well supported and capable is
Firebird. http://www.firebirdsql.org/

One database that is free but should be avoided is Turbo power's flash
filer. It is not supported very well and has been replaced with NexusDB
by the original developers.

MySQL is another DB that might work for you but I have no experience
with it.

Good Luck!
