Hi Perry, I see Peter has suggested what i was going to mention. Just a couple of thoughts - hlp files have been replaced by chm files. Now saying that you can still use hlp files but users will need to download a new file to read the hlp file.
If your using an older version of Delphi the chm file may not be supported without an addon component to inform your program that your using a chm file. Another possiblility would be to convert your doc file to a pdf and use adobe reader to load it, but you still need another file on the users computer to read the pdf. The other option is a freeware pdf component to load the pdf file as you intended to do with the rtf. At any rate you'll need to put the file (doc,rtf or pdf) into a resource file and extract it to disk when your program is first run. Peter has covered this i think.
