To my knowledge no patch is ever sent from MS in email. For that matter, I don't trust any file unless I am expecting it. If it is a real security patch, running Windows Update will get it safely. There are WAY too many fraudulent emails flying around to trust email messages these days especially those really good mock up paypal ones.

Morning all,
This morning I found an e-mail in my box supposedly from Microsoft
Customer service, using an msn e-mail address and looking extremely real
with company logos and such.  It recommends applying the enclosed and
zipped, May, cumulative, security patch for all Windows OS's.
Never have I ever received such a message from Microsoft, nor was I
aware that they have ever sent them out with attachments like this before.
Has anyone else seen or heard of this?
