Robert, (Sorry if this has already been resolved - been away for a while and just checked my email)
One issue that can occur when upgrading from XP --> Vista (and I presume to Win7) is that XP drivers "may" work with Vista once Vista has started but fail after a reboot. This may appear random - I think it has something to do with the device driver startup order, etc.. Unfortunately, some XP drivers are recognised by Vista as being OK but they are not !! Can you check the exact make/model/version of your network adapter and check for a Vista certified driver. If you find one, uninstall the old driver and, if possible, remove the old drivers from your system (so the Windows auto-driver installer cannot locate the files). Then install the Vista driver. I had a similar problem with an inbuilt Wireless network adaptor in a notebook but could not locate a Vista driver - I had to disable it at the hardware level and use a USB device (cheap but not nasty - it had specific Vista drivers). Good luck, Brian __________________________________________________ Delphi-Talk mailing list -> [email protected] http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/delphi-talk
