Installs without problems, then fails to work when expected,
giving "this is the NT version of ComCTL32.dll" message at
interesting points, like during the operation of the Wise install
program for our software, which is what I'm ultimately trying to
check it out with.
Windows LOADED ok with the 401 version, at least. That differed
from the behaviour I had when when I copied the COMCTL32.DLL
dated 04/99 from a WinNT machine to the '95 machine's system
directory at the DOS stage, then tried to load Windows -- it
complained, then froze.
Max has sent me a '98 DLL, I'll check that out on the morrow and
see what ensues.
