I have been struggling to make a system reliable (index out of date, etc) on
two machines that are connected peer-to-peer.
I have the computer with the data sharing its data directory and using this
also as the NET DIR
The client machine has its NET DIR pointing at the other machine, same
directory as above. The alias also points there.
Everything works fine, if slowly on the client machine, but this is with LOCAL
SHARE set to false. Hence the index problems...
If I set LOCAL SHARE on the machine that has the data to TRUE, then I can run
either application, but not both at the same time. I get a "Directory is
controlled by another .NET file" error...
I thought this was going to be simple. What the heck is happening?
Laurie..
