I want to get my hands on D7 soon. We are still developing with D5 at
present as D6 offered no improvements that we needed.

But D7 includes XP theme support built in, partly from Mike Lische's code
and hopefully partly integrated into the base TWinControl event handling
(WM_THEME event support that is). Having this done would save me a lot of
work getting our application theme enabled. From what I heard anout the
theme support it appears that Borland have it working so that you can use
themes on Windows versions prior to XP as well, another way cool feature
that I want.

The only other inducement that I can see is that the web site announcement
included words to the effect that D7 has improved code generation, and as
the optimiser was getting rather aged in respect of P4 and Athlon
instruction cost changes, I'm hoping for a better and faster code for our
application.

Cheers, Max.
