J I think the 'early' release of D7 was more of a political move in order to establish a presence in the .NET dev market. Thing is anyone with half a brain can trim thru the BS and realise that D7 will offer a great alternative to VB (with a common source possible for Linux, Windows and .NET) Wheras VB and VB.NET require a code split (and no direct linux support) C# is .NET only. So M$ is leaving an opening as it trys to blackmail theVB developer base into C# (by making VB.NET less attractive) then why don't they jump ship to Delphi is the aguement Borland are making and establish a single code base with three platforms available
