Yes the Gallelio project. Sounds like one of those marketing decisions to
stick the word studio on the box now.
I guess in the end it all boils down to what type of work you are doing as
to whether you get benefits from D7 or not.
In my case I am mostly involved with destkop applications that must run
still be able to run under Win95 so I have everything I already need from
older versions of Delphi. Most net stuff I do I simply use IIS and ISAPI.
Again which I already have. Having said that however I am sure it won't be
long before .net affects me in one way or another. I guessing it may even be
because I'll be programming for a mobile device or smart appliance . The IDE
that gives me this ability will be the one I'll be going for next. Borland's
strategy to be platform independent sounds good to me but I am personality
quite happy to sit back and see what both parties actually deliver. At
present I feel there's just to too much marketing hype going around to make
any kind of strategic change to the way I do things presently.

True, but then why release this as a new FULL release. Why not a
6.5,
because that's about all there is.
There is a long way for the IDE to go.

Is that the Gallelio product? The box stays Delphi Studio on it!!!
