Yes, I realise that. I was hoping to simply use the Windows serial number
or registration number as it appears in the Windows System Properties. It
doesn't matter so much that the same user has copied it to another PC, but I
want to inhibit the user giving the software to someone else.
Anyone know if the following reg key is always readable, even to
non-administrators?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProductID
