A tale of woe: I had D7 installed since 2002 under XP. I then installed D2007 SP3, but then foolishly decided that I should put D2007 under Vista on the same machine and de-installed D2007 from XP.
After that, D7 wouldn't start because of remains of D2007 in the XP registry which had to be removed by hand, since the D2007 de-installation doesn't seem to clean up its registry entries properly. Had I done a registry backup before installing D2007 or had I used a VM, all this wouldn't have happened. I wonder if there is a conflict if D7 and D2007 are installed under Vista or do they co-exist peacefully?
