I've introduced the idea of passages of music. Like a selection but can
be in several disjoint pieces on one staff. The command is in the Edit-
>Select menu.

The (first and so far only) application for this is swapping passages
of music between instruments.

I had a score which needed the musical material re-distributing between
the two instruments as it was in places too low for one and elsewhere
too high for the other. Choosing the right places is a matter of taste,
but it is tedious to experiment with different choices as you have to
cut one passage paste it in a spare staff then cut the corresponding
passage and paste that in the place you cut the first passage from and
finally copy the first cut to the second place.
This is error prone. With the command "Swap Passages" (in the Edit-
>NotationMagick menu) this can be done at a key press, and reversed
with a the same key press, allowing easy experimentation.
