I might have another look at the script you posted. I've been 
using another script someone posted here last month to remove 
(unban) IP addresses. I modified it so it would remove both the 
supplied IP as well as the hostname (PTR) for the IP. (I'm not 
sure why, but I found that some bans were done for hostnames and 
not IP addresses. So un-banning both is more thorough.)

Why doesn't Denyhosts already come with an unban script?
