Maybe a better approach would be to start code sharing with a new feature, such as JMX support, and set a pattern using that. Then if required the old code could be de-tangled and fitted to the new scheme. This might be a cleaner and happier approach, evolution not revolution. Then we get a good example, working code sharing, a new feature (e.g. JMX) and with the least amount of work. Dan.
