I have the demo files checked out and see a readme.html file at the root, but I don't see "frameworks" in the directory structure. Perhaps I don't have the correct info checked out? When I look a the content in the Readme file, I don't see the text you mention above "The Derby Network Server is a server framework that comes with Derby.
