A1) yes, though any strict definition should probably be avoided to allow
future changes
A3) yes.
A4) I think either is fine, maybe diagnostic has a slight edge.
"You invoke this diagnostic table by specifing the table name in statement,"
sounds awkward to me. Tables are not "invoked", I think the term is left over
from the previous syntax
I think the key point to get across is that this is accessed like any other
table.
