Good question about the operators/expressions. I feel confident in calling the
concatenation operator (||) an operator just based on my long experience with
programming languages.
About the others I'd need to see the SQL spec, to which I don't have access --
do you? NULLIF has the appearance of a function, but it's equivalent to CASE,
which actually looks more like a statement to me. Those XML operators actually
look more like functions. But I'm going by the terminology of other languages,
not SQL For the most part SQL seems to use the same terminology as others, but
there may be exceptions.
Thanks for doing the commit. Any needed reorganization of these topics can be a
separate issue.
