Unfortnately it's not that simple.  Since the patch derby1520_3.diff was 
commited, the new file is already in the ditamap file.  When I perform svn 
update, the file will already be in the ditamap file.  I'd have to remove it 
and then add it back in. Which is not necessary at this point.

As I understand your concern, the issue here is with the current structure of 
the ditamap file.
I don't see any other way to fix that structure except to apply the new patch.
