You are right - I forgot to put the configurable properties into the funcspec.
I'll update the funcspec in a day or two. In the mean time:
2: Yes, I would say so. Good suggestion
3: defaults - minLogShippingInterval: 100 milliseconds,
maxLogShippingInterval: 5000 millis (i.e. 5 seconds)
Note however that min <= (max/10) since a higher min value would ruin the
soft guarantee for maximum slave deviation. The reason is that there are 10
replication log buffers.
