I ran with 10.4.2.0 on the same machine, with the same jvm, and without
derby.properties and so far the problem has not manifested. Which seems to
point to a regression.
With 10.5 the problem showed up (1st with XSDBB, 2nd 38000, 3rd run XSDBB)
after about 1 day. That suggests it is related to the backup process, which
according to the notes in the test will occur after about 1 day.
I've kicked off another run on a non-windows box, same jvm version (ibm16)
without derby.properties, to see what that does.
I couldn't check the consistency of the tables (yet)...although I could start
ij and even select from a table, I could not do the select suggested on the
page: http://wiki.apache.org/db-derby/DatabaseConsistencyCheck. (got the XSDBB
error right away).
