I don't know of a handy svn command, but for 10.5 you can do: 1. Look at the wiki for the release - there might be a section 'branch information'. For instance, for 10.5.1 release: http://wiki.apache.org/db-derby/DerbyTenFiveOneRelease#head-f7896fd83df8bfccfb665a466e49357256ab28ba 2. Look at the date build.xml at the top level of the branch was created - either using svn log, or using the svn browser: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/db/derby/code/branches 10.5 was created on March 16, with revision 755044.
