By including fonts in the installation base, users can be guaranteed
that second and third parties can read/write/edit/view the document.
All concerned parties already have all the fonts installed via their
OS. There's no need to include useless fonts in the default installation.
Not true. That's why we still use Arial, Times and web just recently had
only Arial, Verdana and Tahoma everywhere. And default fonts will be all
what good generic templates will ever have.
To me it is very important to know whether all LibO installations will
have the default fonts. So if you know your partner uses LibO you can be
sure the fonts are available.
Is calling Lao, Thai and Khmer useless meant as an insult?
Although I will probably never have good use for these, I am sure there
are people who need these. Maybe could extra fonts be added in
localization packages?
