Dear Mimi:

Sorry I could not post for the past weeks (2).
I had to catch up with work (one has to live after all).
I hope by the middle of next week I will be able to post some more mails.

Regarding the pole I agree almost with everyone.
I prefer for an Interim logo the constellation and it would do fine with a blue background.
There might be a problem when downsizing the logo mostly in windows machines.
The water droplet doesn´t mean much to me.
The spiral has legibility problems at this same size.
The transformation of the spiral Davor made it much more legible.

I prefer for the time being not to suggest anything since I have not given much of a thought.
Please remember that a good logo should be legible and distinguishable and that it´s impossible to please everybody since for ones a color or form might mean something completely different than to other.

Please consider that you also have the option of the capital letter (C for Chandler) like the logos of Quickdraw (Q) and Explorer (E) which are very identifiable from the rest.

To convey a concept for Chandler through a small icon probably is one of the most difficult chores.

Good Luck and all the best!

Hi,

I posted something a few weeks ago on our Branding efforts. We've  narrowed it down to 3 candidates and would like to put them out to  community for a vote.

I won't go into detail about what they represent and what each is  trying to communicate. The logos you see here are not meant to be  "Final" artwork. They're what I might call a medium-resolution mock- up. When we've decided on what the logo will be, I will do another  round of visual polish.

Something to keep in mind: This is our interim logo for 0.6. We have  yet to settle on a name for the product, so we're simply looking for  a "better than the doggy face" alternative to our current desktop icon.

Voting procedure: Please reply to the list with the one logo you  prefer. Voting booths will be open until end of day Friday (5PM US/ Pacific) :o)

>From left to right:
1. Constellation
2. Water droplet
3. Spiral

Thanks!

Mimi

Here's an update on the 2nd session of our Branding Brainstorm. We  went through a series of clustering and keyword exercises which  culminated in a list of ideas for graphical logos.

Please feel free to add you comments at the bottom. Thanks everyone  for your participation. Mimi
