Both bcm and myself (at least) both found the workflow of subscribing
to a collection, and then having to click again on the collection
details dialog box to rename it (which you pretty much always want to
do) a little onerous, especially if you are subscribing to multiple
collections in a row.
If you always popped up a rename box when subscribing that wouldn't
let you go away until you have the collection a unique display name,
and warns you or prevents you from subscribing to the same collection
twice, several issues will be solved:
1) You won't be able to have two identically named collections [bug
8595]
2) You won't be able to accidentally subscribe to the same
colllection twice [bug 8325]
3) Workflow is more efficient [bug ????]
