I can confirm the "false-positive" issue on my Dell XPS M1530 with Samsung HM250JI hard drive. The Disk Utility warns me about 'bad sectors' all the time however testing it using HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tools (http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/utilities/Support_HUTIL.html) gives no error. I did full disk surface scan.
