Whether it is wise or not, this bug is now showing "Affects" four Ubuntu areas (top of the bug report) and explains comments #29 #30 and query #31 asking about libfm relevance.
For folks who are experiencing this bug in Thunar in Gnome then the discussions at bugzilla are quite current: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=612802 GTK/exo/Thunar bug is not specific to Ubuntu as comment #17 suggests archlinux has seen it, and I have observed it in my Debian Squeeze installation also.
