OK, thanks.  The output of "glxinfo | grep render" is as it should be.
We can rule out this bug being caused by your system falling back to
software rendering.

The comparison between the CNET Buzz Report HD and the Geek Brief HD is
interesting.  If I recall correctly, 44100 Hz is the sample rate used on
audio CD's and thus became the de-facto standard for a lot of other uses
as well, whereas 48000 Hz is the sample rate used for audio on DVD
movies.  I wonder if gstreamer is (poorly) doing some kind of audio
resampling on the higher sample rate audio track but not on the lower
sample rate one?
