My problem happens on 11.04 amd64, Unity desktop. I installed Skype through "Software Center". At the beginning, everything goes well. After a long time use (maybe 1 or 2 hours, actually it's not long on my machine), Skype icon in notification area disappears, but the process is still running. There's even no 1 pixel indicator. No message can be received and no notification. I have to kill the process and start Skype again. No workaround is found.
