This is still happening, so I decided to see if using wayland would help, but it is the same. Here I'm enclosing an interesting screen shot (partial screen only) showing that when you hit f5 in libreoffice presenter, it thinks the screen is the upper left part of the screen. I thought this might be a hint, because, you could look at what routines libreoffice was calling for the slide show, and it might give a hint as to where the problem lies.
