Please start by uninstalling these extensions:

and also remove any locally installed extensions:

  cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
  rm -rf extensions

then log in again.

If the high memory usage happens after that then please run:

  gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.shell > settings.txt

and attach the output here.
