** Attachment added: ""Move to Trash" context menu works as intended (nautilus 43)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1987411/+attachment/5611002/+files/Trash.png
** Description changed: Couldn't find any mention in the upstream issues (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/?label_name%5B%5D=5.%20Drag- and-Drop) or whether this functionality is still WIP (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/2267), but drag and drop of files in Nautilus 43.beta.1 to its sidebar Trash gives the following error: Error while copying "[filename]". There was an error copying the file into trash:///. Operation not supported. The same error occurs if a file is right-click selected for copy and then going onto the Trash space and right-click for paste. ii gir1.2-nautilus-4.0:amd64 1:43~beta.1-2ubuntu1 amd64 libraries for nautilus components - gir bindings ii libnautilus-extension4:amd64 1:43~beta.1-2ubuntu1 amd64 libraries for nautilus components - runtime version ii nautilus 1:43~beta.1-2ubuntu1 amd64 file manager and graphical shell for GNOME ii nautilus-data 1:43~beta.1-2ubuntu1 all data files for nautilus PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu Kinetic Kudu (development branch)" NAME="Ubuntu" VERSION_ID="22.10" VERSION="22.10 (Kinetic Kudu)" VERSION_CODENAME=kinetic + + Windowing System: X11 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1987411 Title: Drag and drop to Trash in sidebar not supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1987411/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
