There were fixes in GLib2 to make opening files work for snaps, by going
through the portal.
It will only go through the portal if the snap does not already have access to
that path, which is checked through the `snap routine file-access` command. On
my 26.04 system, `snap routine file-access firefox /usr/share/doc/` returns
'hidden', and thus the file is added to the document portal instead.
So this would be a snapd bug.
Also, is it intended for the firefox snap to have direct access to
/usr/share/doc?
