OK, I see. May I ask why the jds package does not use system
cairo? So the solution would be either linking Firefox to system
cairo (that what linux distros appear to do) or to patch the in
tree cairo (patches appear to be available from the bugreport you
linked)? Is this being worked on or should I file a bug?
I find thsi seriously impairs readability, especially on LCD
monitors and with smaller fonts.
