I remember back in Solaris 2.6 day, dtfile has a nick name, 'core dump tool' :) It has gotten a lot more stable with CDE since Solaris 8, hundred or even thousands of bugs fixes went in between Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 8 on CDE.
