Sorry for the delay in the reply. Been busy...
I have opened the following requests in the Gnome bugzilla, in case someone is 
interested:
528631         nautilus         UNCO         enh         Shortcut for "Open in 
Terminal" should be Ctrl+T, not for "Move to Trash"                       
528624         gnome-terminal         UNCO         enh         Gnome terminal 
should allow drag and drop of text
By the way, one of them seemed to make more sense in the nautilus category, 
instead of gnome-terminal.

It might be useful to file two enhancement requests at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ under the gnome-terminal category.  This sort
of suggestion will get more attention if you make it visible to the
gnome-terminal maintainer.
