I'm working on writing up the ARC case for the EOL of Xprint.
I know long long ago Mozilla and pre-1.0 OpenOffice both had
some Xprint support - neither of them still ship that in their
Solaris versions, right?
The only remaining uses of Xprint I'm aware of are the mp printer
filter and the CDE Calendar Manager (dtcm) - are there any others
that people are aware of? Any reason we shouldn't go ahead with
the EOL? (X.Org has removed Xprint from the X server with the
X server 1.6 release last month, has been removing the client
support as no one has maintained it in recent years and few have
used or shipped it lately either. As much promise as Xprint once
had, it doesn't seem worth the cost of forking from upstream to
maintain code no one actually uses.)
