And that's exactly the one that I did download! (I wanted the one for the package manager.) The download on this page contains the product installer for Sun Studio 12 software, which installs Solaris or Linux packages and provides a full set of options for customizing your installation. 1. Download the Sun Studio 12 package installer file into a scratch directory, such as /var/tmp. 2. Unpack the file by typing: bzcat download_directory/SunStudio12ML-os-platform-date-pkg.tar.bz2 | /bin/tar -xf - [/i] ... and that's what I did.
