build 99 changed the ata driver, it seems: Bug ID: 6742621 Synopsis: ata driver causes system hang after resume back on M8 with snv_b97 http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6742621 Apparently the change is about setting up MWDMA / UDMA modes for P-ATA HDD and/or ATAPI devices. In build 101 (Oct 07, 2008), ata is changed once again, apparently because of "CRC errors during UDMA" data transfers: Bug ID: 6753758 Synopsis: ata driver doesn't work in snv_99 (older systems only?) http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6753758 Maybe you can work around the build 99 problem, either by using the ata kernel module from build 98, or the new one from build 101 (when it becomes available)? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
