I don't know about all the changes in nv_91, I know one set of
changes was made for:
6679786 [nevada] poor fonts displayed in gnome-terminal
Unfortunately, the universal law of changing font display is,
no matter what you change you will get angry mail from a bunch
of people wondering what took you so long to make the fonts look
better now, and another bunch of people complaining you made it
so much worse. Fonts are so crucial to using the desktop, but
so subjective in personal preferences, that it's just a minefield
to work in.
