You also have to go into the gdm configuration to tell gdm to
stop overriding the system configuration and disabling it even
when you've already told the system to enable it.
Or, you could just use ssh -X, which doesn't need any system
configuration, and handles all the DISPLAY & cookie settings
for you.

Strange - it should auto-detect the layout of a Sun keyboard,
but you can override it with kbd -s.
