OpenSolaris in their context is an open system. Regardless, the demand for Sun's branch has never been particularly high as Alan has said. I've seen Motif used more frequently (Commercial one) on SGI IRIX systems. (Yes I know they're on the decline) Lesstif is easier to integrate than Open Motif or Motif itself, but I don't know what specific Motif features have been left out from Open Motif and Lesstif.
