This thread seems to have diverged from technical merit... How about I 
roll the package which has a `working` HOME and END key and publish it 
so the whole problem is solved.... ? or publish a patch and spec file 
or...  There's a lot of options other than arguing over which side is 
right/wrong..  I /know/ some of these defaults cause a stir when you 
have years of habits on both sides, but come on..
