IIRC I fired up the printer manager as root from the command > line. So it seems you have tried to set up CUPS the wrong way. In fact, there is no CUPS print manager in build 103. So you are only setting up LP print queues. So in that case you may actually hit some bugs that were in some previous build of nevada on Firefox.
