The DDU is based on IPS repository. So the DDU can only run on Indiana. But the project aims to run on the general Solaris desktop, not limited into specific project or release. This is the main difference between the DDU and the project is that the the DDU.
Besides, other devices management functionality(disable/enable and so on) is desired to be added in the tool by the project.
