Interesting.  If you look at your compiled/dist/chrome/songbird.jar, and 
look inside that for content/songbird/scripts/playerOpen.js, does that 
exist?

I've forwarded your email to our developers, and will see if I can get a 
build up over here.  Just to confirm, are you building with Sun Studio?  
or gcc?
