Hi James, Well researched! My guess is eventually the merged code that Federico does will be picked up in the next GNOME release will be available. So in the meantime, we don't have the Show time zone functionality. I see little benefit in getting the upstream patch to be brought back here again. Unless we know for sure Federico's work is not progressing.
