The GDM service started off with one name and then got a new one in, I think, S10u1. Do 'svccfg list | grep gdm' to see what the service name is on your system. On S10 FCS it's: % svccfg list | grep gdm application/gdm2-login Mike. -- mike.oliver at sun.com
