GStreamer supports two video sinks. If you run gstreamer-properties and click on the "Video" tab, you will notice that the "Default Output" can be either "X Window System (No Xv)" or "X Window System (X11/Xshm/Xv)". If your Xserver does not support the Xv extension, but you have the value set to "X Window System (X11/Xshm/Xv)", then you will see errors like this. Is that the case with you? You might try setting the value to "Autodetect" or to "X Window System (No Xv)" and see if that helps make the error go away. However, I doubt that is the problem with playing CD's, but might be worth a check. Brian
