I would like to add that I trust to Mr Korvar. I Also had similar problems on my my computer but I used to live with that. Obviously all features of rendering fonts for screens are not yet implemented or at least not at satisfying level.
By the way, I would like to suggest that we should see in OpenSolaris Next improved version of Nimbus theme. (Buttons, icons, etc., should be more sophisticated designed and bottom panel should be deleted). I already did some changes on my laptop but it demands more work on whole theme. Regards, Uros Nedic Belgrade, Serbia P.S: I think that KDE achieved glossy design. Maybe one of the reasons is that they are using WebKit (which Apple developed from their original technologies like KHtml, etc.) > Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2009 10:24:48 +0200 > From: dick at nagual.nl > To: desktop-discuss at opensolaris.org > Subject: Re: [desktop-discuss] [osol-discuss] ClearType available for > OpenSolaris? > > On Thu, 09 Jul 2009 12:34:18 PDT > Orvar Korvar <knatte_fnatte_tjatte at yahoo.com> wrote: > > > Anyway, In the picture above in the first post here, I think Windows > > XP looks far better.
